Who They Are
IFCCA (formerly EFCCA) is an umbrella organisation representing 46 national IBD patient associations worldwide. It advocates for the approximately 10 million people living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), across the globe.
As an international federation, IFCCA focuses on networking, awareness-raising, advocacy, research and development (R&D), solidarity, and patient empowerment. Its mission is to improve the lives of people living with IBD, and its vision is to ultimately find a cure for IBD.
What They Do in GENEGUT
In the GENEGUT project, EFCCA provides the patient perspective, offering feedback on the ethical and social consideration on the new therapy. We facilitate dissemination through tailored training programs for patients and support communication efforts to raise awareness and promote the project’s outcomes effectively.
