GENEGUT at EUROCARB22, Gdansk | CarboHyde’s Milo Malanga presents innovative cyclodextrin-based RNA delivery work

We are pleased to highlight the contribution of Milo Malanga from CarboHyde (Budapest, Hungary), who represented GENEGUT with an oral presentation at the 22nd European Carbohydrate Symposium (EUROCARB) on 6 June 2025.

In his talk, titled “Structure–Activity Relationship of Modified Amphiphilic Cationic Cyclodextrins for RNA Delivery”, Milo presented recent findings on the molecular engineering of cyclodextrin-based carriers. His work focuses on how subtle structural modifications influence the delivery efficiency of RNA molecules, a key aspect of GENEGUT’s mission to develop an oral RNA-based therapy for Crohn’s disease.

CarboHyde’s expertise in cyclodextrin chemistry is instrumental to the GENEGUT project, and Milo’s presentation showcased the consortium’s ongoing efforts to advance RNA therapeutics through rational material design.

We thank Milo for representing the project at EUCARBOS and sharing GENEGUT’s innovations with the international carbohydrate research community.
