Dinh Son Vo presents GENEGUT research at two leading European scientific meetings

GENEGUT PhD researcher Dinh Son Vo recently showcased project findings at two international scientific events in Copenhagen and Heidelberg, presenting advances in 3D human ileal organoid technology as a promising screening platform for next-generation oral RNA drug delivery systems.

Nordic POP Annual Meeting 2025 | Copenhagen, Denmark
Oral presentation: 3D human ileal organoids – a potential screening tool for advanced oral drug delivery systems
Focus: Drug delivery & patient-oriented products
At the Nordic POP Annual Meeting 2025, Dinh Son Vo delivered an oral presentation to an audience of experts in drug delivery and patient-oriented pharmaceutical innovation.
Reflecting on the experience, he shared:
“It was an honor and inspiring opportunity to exchange ideas with brilliant scientists within Nordic POP research community and to orally share my latest research findings within GENEGUT to the audience.”
His presentation highlighted how 3D ileal organoid models can support the development and optimisation of innovative oral drug delivery systems, a key component of GENEGUT’s mission to develop a first-in-class oral RNA therapeutic for ileal Crohn’s disease.

EMBL Conference | Heidelberg, Germany
Poster presentation: 3D human ileal organoids – a potential screening tool for advanced oral drug delivery systems
Focus: Advanced organoid systems & disease modelling
At the renowned EMBL organoid conference, Dinh Son Vo presented GENEGUT’s research during a dedicated poster session. He reflected:
“It was an incredible opportunity to connect with brilliant minds in the organoid research community, exchange ideas, and gain fresh perspectives to drive my research forward. I was honored to present my latest research from the GENEGUT project through a poster session and engage in inspiring discussions about advancing science in this exciting field.”
The event offered a valuable platform to integrate GENEGUT’s work into broader organoid research efforts and explore new collaborative directions.

Strengthening GENEGUT’s scientific presence across Europe
Through these two high-profile engagements, Dinh Son Vo helped expand GENEGUT’s visibility in the fields of drug delivery, organoid biology and inflammatory bowel disease research. His contributions support the consortium’s aim of accelerating innovation and advancing scientific progress toward a novel oral RNA therapy for ileal Crohn’s disease.
