Dinh Son Vo presents GENEGUT research on intestinal organoids

Dinh Son Vo, a PhD candidate at Uppsala University, recently shared promising research results from the GENEGUT project through two scientific events.

On 23 January 2025, Son presented a poster at the 13th Symposium in Pharmaceutical Profiling in Drug Discovery & Development in Uppsala, Sweden. The poster, titled “3D human ileal organoids – a potential screening tool for advanced oral drug delivery systems”, showcased innovative applications of human-derived organoid models to evaluate novel drug delivery strategies, including those pursued by GENEGUT.

Just a few weeks later, on 4 March 2025, Son gave an oral presentation during the CRS Nordic Local Chapter Young Scientists webinar event. The presentation built upon the earlier poster, highlighting how intestinal organoids could serve as a preclinical platform for screening and optimising RNA-based formulations.

Son’s contributions underscore the GENEGUT project’s commitment to advanced in vitro models for targeted oral drug delivery in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
